Scammers sometimes create fake websites or Discord bots that pretend to be RoVer. They do this to steal your Roblox or Discord account, or to trick you into handing over personal information. These impostors are not affiliated with us in any way.

§How to tell what the real RoVer is

• Our only official website is https://rover.link . If a website claims to be RoVer but its address doesn't start with https://rover.link/, it's fake.
• The real RoVer bot's Discord ID is 298796807323123712. A bot's ID can't be faked, so this is the most reliable way to confirm you're dealing with the genuine bot. You can always check the official IDs of our bot and team members on our Team page.
• Sign in to Roblox before you visit RoVer. The genuine sign-in flow uses Roblox's official login, so if you're already signed in to Roblox, you'll never be asked to type your password while verifying. Any "RoVer" page that asks you to enter your Roblox username and password is fake.

§What to do if you find a fake RoVer website or bot

We want to be upfront with you: we do not own or control these fake websites and bots, and unfortunately there is nothing we can do to take them down ourselves. As much as we wish we could, we're essentially powerless here.

It's also a game of whack-a-mole. Unfortunately, as fast as one fake gets taken down, new ones tend to pop up to replace it. Reporting helps, but the thing that actually keeps people safe is education. Properly educating yourself, your friends, and your server members about how to stay safe online is the best protection there is. Sharing our Beware of Scams page with your community is a good place to start.

If you do want to report a fake, the services below are the right places to reach. Reporting is the most effective way to get a specific fake taken offline and to protect others while it's still up.

§Report the website

• Report it to Google Safe Browsing. This helps get the site flagged as dangerous in Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Google Search, which warns away anyone who tries to visit it. Report it here: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/ .
• Report it to Cloudflare. Many phishing sites hide behind Cloudflare. You can submit an abuse report so Cloudflare can take action and forward the report to the people hosting the site: https://abuse.cloudflare.com/ .
• Report it to the domain registrar. Every domain is registered through a company (the registrar) that can suspend it for abuse. Look up who the registrar is using ICANN's WHOIS lookup , find the registrar's abuse contact, and report the fake site to them.

§Report the bot, account, or server

If the impostor is a Discord bot, account, or server, please report it to Discord's Trust & Safety team so they can investigate and remove it.
