Beware of Scams
Almost every RoVer scam breaks one of these four rules. Learn them once and the fakes give themselves away.
Select each item to check it off!The real RoVer is a bot, and it won't chat with you
RoVer is automated and carries Discord's Verified Bot badge. It does send automated messages, but it will never hold a back-and-forth conversation or warn you that you're about to be banned.
“You're about to be banned” is the most common opening line in a scam. If “RoVer” is chatting with you or replying to what you say, it's a person, not the bot.
RoVer never needs your password, codes, or cookie
The real RoVer will never ask for your password, your two-step verification code, or your account cookie. Anyone who does is after your account.
The sneaky ones count too: scanning a login QR code someone sends you, or screen-sharing your account page, hands them the same access. Only ever log in yourself.
The real RoVer only lives at rover.link
Check the address bar. The genuine site is https://rover.link and nothing else. Lookalike domains exist purely to steal your login.
Sign in to Roblox first and the real verification flow will never ask you to type your password. A “RoVer” page that does is fake.
A name proves nothing, a User ID does
Anyone can copy a team member's display name, register a lookalike username, or call a bot “RoVer”. A name that looks right proves nothing.
The one thing nobody can fake is a Discord User ID. The real RoVer bot is 298796807323123712. Check it, and the whole team's IDs, on our Team page using this guide .
When in doubt, slow down and double-check. Stay safe out there. :)
