RoVer

§Privacy Policy

Imaginary Menagerie, LLC, the operator of RoVer, respects the privacy of our users and is committed to protecting their personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from users of the RoVer service, how we use and share that information, and the choices you have with respect to your personal information.

By accessing or using the RoVer service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, you are not permitted to access or use the RoVer service. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

§1. Information We Collect.

We collect the following information from end-users who are linking their Roblox account to the RoVer service:

  • The ID of their Discord account they log in with
  • The ID of their Roblox account they choose to link
  • The Roblox username at the time of linking the account

Additionally, some information about their Discord account is stored temporarily, for up to 48 hours, but the expiration time is refreshed by visiting the website while logged in:

  • The Discord servers the user is in
  • Other basic information about their Discord account, such as their username and avatar.

We do not store the following information:

  • User IP addresses
  • Roblox account link history (if you unlink your account, we do not have a history of past account links)

§Requesting deletion of your information

Users can log in on our website and click the "remove" button to delete their linked account. This process will permanently delete the information we know about the user.

§Access to User Information by Server Owners

When you join a Discord server that uses RoVer, the owner of that server may access certain information related to your account through our API or through commands. This access is necessary for the service to work properly. By joining a server and linking your Roblox account, you give the owner or operators of that server permission to view the ID and username of the linked Roblox account and the ID of the linked Discord account.

§2. Server Owners.

When you add RoVer to a Discord server, we store server configuration, which includes:

  • Role bindings and what resources on Roblox they are bound to
  • Logging channels
  • API keys
  • Users you ban from your server

If you are a RoVer Plus subscriber, we also store your linked patreon account.

If you use the web API, we may also store IP addresses used to access the API in order to enforce our terms of service.

We do not log or collect chat messages sent in channels that the RoVer bot has access to, nor do we collect any information about members of the server.

§3. Use of Information.

We use the information we collect from users of the RoVer service to provide, maintain, improve, and protect the service. We may also use the information to communicate with you, such as to respond to your inquiries or to send you updates and other information about the service.

§4. Sharing of Information.

We will only share your information with third parties for the following purposes:

  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • To respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of Imaginary Menagerie, LLC, our users, or the public
  • To enforce this Privacy Policy or the terms of service for the RoVer service

Your information will not be shared with a third party for any other purpose.

§5. Error Logging and Analytics.

The RoVer service uses the error logging service Sentry to collect errors that may occur in the browser or on our server. This service may collect user data that is involved in the error, such as user-entered text or other information. This data is used exclusively for the purpose of identifying and fixing errors in the RoVer service.

We also utilize the Cloudflare Analytics service to collect anonymous data about users that visit our website, such as the user's country, browser, and number of visits. This data is used to improve the performance and functionality of the RoVer website.

§6. Data Security.

We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no data transmission over the internet or storage of information can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, we cannot guarantee the security of any information you transmit to us, and you do so at your own risk.

§7. Children's Privacy.

The RoVer service is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child under the age of 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we may delete the child's information.

§8. Accessing and Updating Your Personal Information.

If you are a user of the RoVer service, you may access and update your personal information at any time by logging in to your account on the RoVer website. If you are a server owner and you would like to access or update the information we have collected about you, you may do so on the Manage Servers web dashboard.

§9. Changes to this Privacy Policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or to comply with legal requirements. We will provide notice of any material changes to this Privacy Policy by posting the revised policy on the RoVer website. Your continued access to or use of the RoVer service after any changes are made to this Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
