§RoVer Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 25, 2026
What's new: You can now manage who has access to your linked accounts with the /privacy command.
Imaginary Menagerie, LLC (“we,” “us”) operates RoVer. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service.
§What we collect (end users)
When you link Roblox to RoVer, we store:
- Your Discord ID
- Your Roblox ID
- Your Roblox username at the time of linking
We also keep some Discord info temporarily (up to 48 hours, refreshed when you visit while logged in):
- Servers you’re in
- Basic Discord profile info (e.g., username, avatar)
We do not store: IP addresses for end users, or Roblox link history (if you unlink, we don’t keep past links).
§Deleting your info
Log in on our website and click “Remove”. This permanently deletes the linked account data we store.
§What server owners can see
If you join a Discord server that uses RoVer and you link your Roblox account, RoVer can still automatically assign roles to you based on Roblox group memberships and other server-configured rules.
By default, in any server you join, RoVer will not:
- Share your account with the server itself
- Share your account with other bots in the server
- Show you in
/whois - Apply a "Verified" role or change your nickname
You can grant any of these per server by running /privacy in that server. The modal has three checkboxes:
- Server: lets the server itself see your account (via the RoVer API) and lets RoVer apply the verified role and nickname.
- Other bots in Server: lets third-party bots in the server see your account.
- Lookups in Server: lets server members run
/whoison you.
Each setting applies only to that server, and you can change them at any time.
§For server owners
If you add RoVer to a server, we store configuration such as:
- Role bindings and their Roblox resources
- API keys
- Users you ban from your server
- Other miscellaneous settings that you see in the server dashboard
If you subscribe to RoVer Plus, we store your linked Patreon account.
If you use the Web API, we may store IP addresses used to access the API to enforce our Terms.
We do not log or collect chat messages, and we don’t collect information about your members beyond what’s listed above.
§How we use information
- To provide, maintain, improve, and protect the Service
- To communicate with you (e.g., support and updates)
§When we share information
We only share information:
- To comply with laws, subpoenas, or legal process
- To protect the rights, property, or safety of us, users, or the public
- To enforce this Policy or our Terms
We don’t share it for other purposes.
§Error logging & analytics
- Sentry: captures errors in the browser/server and may include user-entered data involved in the error. Used only to identify and fix issues.
- Cloudflare Analytics: collects anonymous site metrics (e.g., country, browser, visit count) to improve performance.
§Data security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect data. No method is 100% secure, so transmission and storage carry risk.
§Children’s privacy
RoVer isn’t for children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child under 13 provided data, contact us so we can delete it.
§Access and updates
- End users: manage your info by logging into the website.
- Server owners: manage server data in the Manage Servers dashboard.
§Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy. We’ll post changes here, and your continued use means you accept the updated Policy.
