§RoVer Terms of Service
Last updated: August 11, 2025
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RoVer—a Discord bot that connects Discord and Roblox accounts—and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Imaginary Menagerie, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the Service. Our use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy (separate document).
§1) Eligibility & Accounts
- You must be 13+. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with a parent/guardian’s consent and supervision.
- You are responsible for the security of your Discord/Roblox and any Service credentials. Don’t share them or allow others to use your account.
- You must comply with all applicable laws and with Discord and Roblox terms/policies.
§2) License
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms.
§3) Acceptable Use
You may not, and you agree not to:
- use the Service for any illegal, infringing, deceptive, or unauthorized purpose;
- upload, post, or transmit content that violates others’ intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
- damage, disable, or interfere with the Service or others’ use of it, including by abusive traffic, flooding, or excessive/incorrect configurations;
- attempt to bypass rate limits, security, or access controls; probe/scan for vulnerabilities; or reverse engineer the Service except to the extent permitted by law;
- misrepresent affiliation with RoVer or use the Service to build or operate a competing product; or
- otherwise violate these Terms or applicable laws.
We may monitor use and enforce these Terms, including by rate-limiting, suspending, or terminating access.
§4) API Terms
RoVer includes a Web API for server owners. Your use of the API must follow these Terms and our documentation. You may not use the API to:
- create or operate a competing service;
- send unsolicited or unauthorized advertising or spam;
- exceed reasonable request volume or circumvent rate limits;
- infringe any third-party rights or violate law.
API keys are confidential. You are responsible for activity using your key. We may monitor, restrict, or revoke API access at any time.
§5) Ownership & Feedback
We and our licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including software, documentation, logos, and trademarks. Except for the license in Section 2, these Terms grant you no rights in the Service.
If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use it for any purpose.
§6) Your Content
You are responsible for content you submit through the Service. You represent you have the necessary rights to that content. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the Service. We may remove content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or law.
§7) Third-Party Platforms
The Service depends on platforms we do not control (e.g., Discord and Roblox). We are not responsible for their availability, policies, or changes. Your use of those platforms is governed by their terms.
§8) Changes to the Service and Terms
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service (in whole or part) and may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will provide notice (e.g., by posting here). Your continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
§9) Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access at any time, with or without notice, including for suspected violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including Ownership, Disclaimers, Liability Limits, Indemnity, Governing Law, and Miscellaneous).
§10) Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties—express, implied, or statutory—including for accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted/secure operation.
§11) Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, or goodwill.
- Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service will not exceed the amounts you paid to us (if any) in the 12 months before the event giving rise to liability.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those places, the above limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.
§12) Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Imaginary Menagerie, LLC and our affiliates, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your content or your use of the Service in violation of these Terms or law.
§13) Governing Law & Venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the state and federal courts located in Ohio for any dispute that is not subject to arbitration or cannot be filed in small-claims court.
§14) Miscellaneous
- Entire Agreement. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede prior agreements on this subject.
- Severability. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect.
- Waiver. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
- Assignment. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them.
- No affiliation. RoVer is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord or Roblox.
